Linfoma Cutáneo Epitelio trópico Canino: Aspectos Clínico[1]Patológicos, Diagnóstico Y Tratamiento

Abstract

El Linfoma cutáneo epiteliotrópico canino es una neoplasia hematopoyética que afecta principalmente pacientes geriátricos y representa solo el 1% de tumores cutáneos en caninos, pero es uno de los más agresivos por su capacidad metastásica. Por sus manifestaciones similares a otras dermatopatías pasa desapercibido y así es subdiagnosticado. Se caracteriza por la infiltración de células linfoides T tumorales con tropismo por la epidermis y sus anexos. Al ser una patología poco común, del presente documento hace una revisión exhaustiva de la literatura, enfocándose en aspectos clínico-patológicos, diagnóstico y tratamientos, con un énfasis especial en los hallazgos más relevantes de los últimos 10 años. Canine epitheliotropic cutaneous lymphoma is a hematopoietic neoplasm that primarily affects geriatric patients and represents only 1% of canine skin tumors, but is one of the most aggressive due to its metastatic potential. Due to its similarity to other dermatopathies, it often goes unnoticed and is therefore underdiagnosed. It is characterized by the infiltration of tumor-like T lymphoid cells with tropism for the epidermis and its appendages. As this is a rare disease, this document provides a comprehensive review of the literature, focusing on clinicopathological aspects, diagnosis, and treatment, with special emphasis on the most relevant findings of the last 10 years.
