Abstract

La modalidad de apoyo terapéutico con caninos denominada terapia asistida con animales (TAA) es una herramienta invaluable para la mejoría del estado de bienestar de los humanos con los que interactúan, así mismo está ampliamente documentado los beneficios de este tipo de actividades, en contraparte en Colombia no hay información suficiente que valide la condición de bienestar de los caninos que se usan para este tipo de actividades. The modality of therapeutic support with canines called animal-assisted therapy (AAT) is an invaluable tool for improving the state of well-being of the humans with whom they interact, and the benefits of this type of activities are widely documented, in contrast to Colombia there is not enough information to validate the welfare condition of the canines used for this type of activities.
